Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy on Friday accused the Congress party of spreading lies and misinformation about reservation policies out of sheer insecurity.
Accusations of Spreading Lies
Reddy alleged that Congress is resorting to falsehoods regarding reservation quotas to manipulate public opinion and create unrest among various communities.
“Congress is spreading lies out of insecurity about reservation,” Reddy said. “The Congress has been in power for a long time and never provided reservation to the community,” he added. “BJP has given reservation to the economically weaker sections (EWS) and fulfilled its promise,” the minister stated. “They are making these statements as they cannot bear the development work being carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Reddy asserted.
On BJP’s approach to reservation
“BJP has always worked for the welfare of all sections of society, irrespective of caste or religion,” he emphasised. Reddy urged the Congress party to act responsibly and refrain from spreading false information about reservation policies, emphasising the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the country.
Government’s Commitment to Reservation
Reddy reiterated the government’s commitment to upholding the principles of reservation and ensuring that benefits reach the deserving sections of society.
In conclusion, G. Kishan Reddy asserted that the Congress party’s attempts to undermine reservation policies through misinformation will not succeed, and the government remains steadfast in its efforts to promote social justice and equality for all.
